'The Hills' is a MTV reality show following a group of Los Angeles, California socialites. The series began in 2006 and was canceled after six season in early 2010. 'The Hills' starred Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cvallari, Heidi Montag, and Spencer Pratt.

About The Hills

'The Hills' is a reality TV show on MTV which followed the activities and lives of young and beautiful (but not necessarily smart or worthy) girls in Los Angeles. The first episode aired on May 31, 2006, and focused on Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad. Later Conrad left the series and was replaced by Kristin Cvallari, followed by Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

The sixth and last season of 'The Hills' premiered on April 27, 2010 and ended July 13, 2010.

Following the end of the series, husband and wife Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag fell into money troubles when they learned the show would not be renewed for another season. On the verge of bankruptcy, Heidi and Spencer announced they were divorcing in July 2010. However, they confessed in November 2010 that the divorce was fake and a publicity stunt in order to earn money and save Heidi's career. They reunited when they found no one cared enough to pay them for exclusive stories. The couple were inspired by Sandra Bullock and Jesse James' divorce, which brought sympathy to Bullock and boosted her image, in their opinion.
