About The Legend of Zelda

The Legend of Zelda is a fantasy action puzzle and adventure video game released by Nintendo in 1986. The series centers on the boyish and elven character, Link. In each game in the series, Link is given the responsibility and task of rescuing Princess Zelda from the villain Ganon, or otherwise saving the land of Hyrule from evil and preserving good.

The series is famous for its 'dungeons' and puzzle solving gameplay, role-playing elements, and its boss battles. The Legend of Zelda series has sold over 59 million copies since the first game. Created by Shigeru Miyamato, the creator of Mario and many other classic Nintendo franchises, The Legend of Zelda has appeared on every major NIntendo console.
