Elin Nordegren is a Swedish model and ex-wife of professional golfer Tiger Woods. Following a December 2009 incident involving Woods' SUV being totaled after she discovered he had cheated on her with multiple mistresses, Nordegren and Woods officially divorced in August 2010. They share custody their two children.

About Tiger Woods Wife

Elin Nordergen was a New Years baby, born January 1, 1980 in Stockholm, Sweden. Her mother, Barbro, is a Swedish politician and her father, Thomas, is a foreign correspondent for Swedish National Radio and worked as a bureau chief in D.C. She has 2 siblings: older brother Axel, and twin sister, Josefin.

Elin started a modeling career in 2000, did many photoshoots for magazines, and made the cover of Swedish magazine, Cafe Sport. She moved to the U.S. in 2001 to take a job as a nanny for Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik. It was at the 2001 British Open where Parnevik introduced Elin to golfer Tiger Woods.

In November 2003, Woods proposed while playing in the Presidents Cup tournament in South Africa. In October 2004, they officially tied the knot. With Tiger being a golfer, it only made sense that they were married on a golf course. In October 2004, the two married by the 19th hole of the Sandy Lane resort in Barbados. It was not a modest affair. Woods paid $2 million to rent the location for a week to accommodate 150 wedding guests including Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, and Charles Barkley.

Their first child, daughter Sam Alexis, was born in 2007. In 2009 they had their second child, a son, Charlie Axel.

In November 2009 Elin's marriage become worldwide news when Tiger ran his SUV into a neighbor's tree and then admitted to infidelity. He is thought to have had sexual relations with up to 14 women while married to Elin.

Elin visited Tiger while he was attending sex rehab in Mississippi, but did not accompany him when he returned to golf for The Masters tournament. Reports also state that Elin is interested in the family's future, which some took as indication that Nordegren was going to be staying with Tiger through it all.

But on August 23, 2010, Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods finalized their divorce. According to the terms, Nordegren was given an undisclosed sum, and the couple shares custody of their two children.

During Tiger's press conference on February 19, 2010 he talked about his relationship with his wife and the problems caused by his sex addiction: Elin and I have started the process of discussing the damage...healing will come from my behavior over time. The questions we discuss will remain between the two of us …I am aware of how my behavior has caused those of you who work with me considerable worry…..I had affairs; I cheated. I stopped living by the core values I had learned. I thought those rules didn’t apply to me…. I ran straight through the boundaries a married couple should live by …I thought I was entitled and thanks to money and fame I didn’t have far to go to find those who agreed with me. Tiger asked the press to leave his family and children alone. My behaviour doesn't make it right for the media to stake out my wife and pursue my Mom. Whatever my wrongdoings, for the sake of my family please leave my wife and kids alone. I have brought this on myself and I know I'm the one that must change... I hope to return to golf one day but I don't know when that will be. When I do return, I need to be more respectful of the game. I have received thousands of messages of support. Thank you. Your encouragement means the world to Elin and me. I want to thank the PGA and the players. There are many people in this room who believed in me. I ask you to find room in your heart one day to forgive me.
