Transformers 2

Transformers 2 is a 2009 live action sequel to the 2007 film Transformers which is also based of the Transformers franchise. The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Tyrese Gibson and also Jon Voight, while Peter Cullen provides the voices of Optimus Prime. The film will be directed by Michael Bay and written by Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci and

Alex Kurtzman. To avoid delays caused by the 2007￢ﾀﾓ08 WGA strike, Bay wrote a sixty-page "template" based on an outline written by Kruger, Orci and Kurtzman that was turned in the day before the strike. The writers continued from there. Filming will begin on June 2 2008 and will take place at the former Bethlehem Steel site in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (which will double for a Chinese city); Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; Jordan; and Sedona, Arizona. It will be a 3-D film. Meanwhile, IDW Publishing released its own comic book sequel to the film, The Reign of Starscream. During preproduction, Michael Bay announced that several of the rumours spread regarding Transformers 2 were in fact created by the studio to keep fans guessing.
