Tron Legacy

The sequel to the 1982 cult-classic, 'TRON', 'TRON Legacy' (2010) stars Garrett Hedlund, Jeff Bridges, and Olivia Wilde. Computer programming genius Kevin Flynn has not been seen for 25 years, leaving behind his wife and son. When his son Sam goes searching for him, he is transported into a complex and dangerous virtual world his father created.

About Tron Legacy

'TRON Legacy' (2010) is the sequel to 1982's computer graphics intensive movie 'TRON'. Garrett Hedlund and Jeff Bridges ('Crazy Heart') star in 'TRON Legacy'.

Bridges reprises his role as Kevin Flynn, a brilliant computer programmer who has mysteriously disappeared. The original 'TRON' broke ground as the first movie to make use of computer graphics extensively. Similarly, 'TRON Legacy' is enhanced with cutting-edge, stylized CG effects to an incredible degree in almost every scene. Using the same technology James Cameron used to capture the Na'vi in 'Avatar' (2009), actors wore motion-capture suits to create many entirely digital scenes without the use of cameras. It also was integral to the character of CLU, a completely computer animated 35 year old version of 60 year old actor Jeff Bridges.

In 'TRON Legacy,' Kevin Flynn's son, Sam (Hedlund), sets out to find his father who abandoned him as a child. After a mysterious call from his father's shut down arcade, he uncovers a project his father was working on at the time of his disappearance and is sucked into a world of complex computer programs and gladiator games -- a world his father has been confined to for 25 years. But now, the technology has advanced to an incredible degree, raising the stakes higher, an making the programs more intelligent, complex, and dangerous than ever before or imaginable. The game has turned on its creator.
