Two and a Half Men

'Two and a Half Men' is an American television comedy series which premiered on CBS on September 22, 2003. The sitcom stars Jon Cryer, Ashton Kutcher, and Angus T. About Two and a Half Men

'Two and a Half Men' is a popular sitcom on CBS. The show is consistently ranked one of the most watched comedies every season in the United States. The series follows reckless and philandering jingle writer Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen), his conservative brother, Alan (Jon Cryer), and his son, Jake (Angus T. Jones), who live together following Alan's divorce. In the season 9 premiere, Alan and Jake attend Charlie's funeral, and Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher) buys Charlie's beach-front home.

In 2010, CBS Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television reached a multi-year broadcast agreement for 'Two and a Half Men,' renewing the series through the 2011–12 season.

In late 2010, Charlie Sheen was involved in a number of public scandals involving drugs, alchohol, and porn stars. Encouraging Sheen to get help and seek rehabilitation, 'Two and a Half Men' was put on hiatus. However, Sheen claimed he was entirely fit for work. In turn, Sheen appeared on numerous media outlets publicly making bizarre and scathing criticisms of CBS, Warner Bros., and 'Two and a Men' creator Chuck Lorre. As a result 'Two and a Half Men' was canceled for the season and on March 7, 2011 actor Charlie Sheen was terminated from the hit TV comedy. Charlie Sheen was the highest paid actor on television at the time.

On May 13, 2011, 'That 70's Show' actor Ashton Kutcher was officially confirmed to join 'Two and a Half Men' as Charlie Sheen's replacement.
