About Voodoo Experience

Voodoo Experience, also commonly referred to as Voodoo or Voodoo Fest, is a multi-day music and arts festival held in City Park, New Orleans, Louisiana. It was first held on Halloween weekend in 1999. It has since moved between the weekend before Halloween and Halloween weekend throughout the years. The festival returned to Halloween weekend in 2009. The Voodoo Experience has hosted over 450 artists and close to a million fans over its 10-year tenure and has been twice nominated for Pollstar's Music Festival of the Year. The Voodoo Experience is known for its blending of high profile national artists from all genres such as Eminem, 50 Cent, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kiss, The Black Keys, Duran Duran, Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M., My Chemical Romance and 311 with local Louisiana musicians including The Original Meters, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue and Dr. John. The Voodoo Music Festival was first held on October 30, 1999 at Tad Gormley Stadium in City Park.
