About Wedding Crashers

'Wedding Crashers' (2005) is a comedy starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn. John Beckworth (Wilson) and Jeremy Gray (Vaughn) have a unique hobby. They crash weddings to meet young, single women when they feel the burden of not having a man most in order to have one-night-stands. Womanizers of the highest degree, they adapt to their surroundings, charming those around them into believing they are invited guests. They follow the 115 wedding crasher rules in order to get in, have a good time, and get out without any baggage following or sticking to them.

Everything has been going great for the pair until they crash the wedding of the daughter of Treasury Secretary, William Cleary. The pair targets bridesmaids Gloria (Fisher) and Claire (McAdams) to be their evening prospects. Jeremy succeeds in bedding Gloria but John falls for Claire prompting him to break the rules and accept an invitation to a weekend family get-together.

The men struggle with keeping up with their cover story while Jeremy is hounded by Gloria who is convinced she is in love with him. John realizes that Claire is set to be married to a man named Zach and needs to find a way to come clean about who he really is, much to the dismay of John. While with the well-to-do family, the pair finds that beneath the surface all is not what it appears to be. They find a sexually revved sister, an in-the-closet gay brother, a seducing wife, and a jealous fiancé.

Directed by David Dobkin, 'Wedding Crashers' was well received by critics. The raunchy humor and comedic quips brought people to the theater earning $209.2 million at the box office. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn proved to be a dynamic duo who successfully brought in the laughs.
